clogs

clog boots are the future my friend. my old pair finally gave up the ghost but i now have a new pair of these and i don't think i'll ever take them off.

london

i don't get chance to go to london much these days so when i do it is a real treat. met some great florists and had a good scout about. 

i did a workshop with the amazing zita elze which blew my mind and has completely changed the way i think about flowers. she gave us a greenish glass vase to work with which was large and beautiful and and i managed to carry it all around london for an afternoon and all the way fine on the train from london to glasgow. all absolutely fine until i got to my front door at around midnight and knocked it against the frame as i came in, and it's cracked completely at the bottom. i only had that vase for around twelve hours but i loved it.

also fontwise i've gone right off courier. i'm changing the blog to georgia so will see how that works out. 

the wee hurrie @ troon

i took the day off today and we went to the seaside. i bought buckets and spades and the girls made sandcastles. i know it's technically not summer anymore but in scotland you have to take it whilst you can get it.

there's this place i've been wanting to go for ages, a fish and chip shop, except its a bit of a posh chippy down on the docks and it sells scallops, monkfish and langoustines fresh off the harbour. it was absolutely the best fish and chips i have ever tasted. 

will be back on the flowers very shortly i promise.

i really love the west coast of scotland

there's been a slight incident with the hire van and a dry stone wall but lets not talk about that. we saw a stag! that was nice. the wedding was great. gorgeous venue. the bride and her family were all really lovely people. we made flowers.
